Apple May Unveil Three New iPads Tomorrow – Here’s What to Expect

Apple has had a busy year thus far, with notable events such as the World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2023 in June. During this conference, the renowned tech company from Cupertino presented its latest operating systems for its devices, as well as introducing Vision Pro, their inaugural spatial computer, and a fresh 15-inch MacBook Air. Additionally, last month saw the release of the new iPhone 15 series and new Apple Watches. However, one device that has yet to be launched is the iPad.

In the iPad’s 13-year history, there’s never been an entire year without new releases, and that won’t be the case this time either, as a new report claims Apple could unveil its latest version. iPads this week.

New iPads coming

According to a report from Supercharged, Apple could expand its iPad lineup by announcing new iPads this week. The news comes after Supercharged spoke to sources familiar with Apple’s media plans. Last year, Apple introduced the M2-powered iPad Pro alongside the iPad 10th Gen in October. And this October three new iPads – iPad Mini, iPad Air and iPad 11th Gen – may be launched.

Even more interesting is that the release could happen as early as tomorrow, October 17th!

No official information on the specs has been revealed, but a possible processor bump could be on the cards. While iPads with Apple’s upcoming M3 SoC are known to be in the works, they are unlikely to see the light of day this year.

Instead, the new iPad Air could finally get an M2 update, while the iPad Mini could include the A16 SoC, a chip that also powers the current iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, as well as last year’s iPhone 14 Pro.

While Apple held a big event called “Wonderlust” where it unveiled its new iPhones on September 12, that likely won’t be the case with the new iPads. Instead, Apple could simply announce them via a press release and announcement video on its website, YouTube channel, and social media handles. According to the report, Apple has also scheduled press conferences with select media personnel for this week.
